Is anyone aware of guidance for financial institutions in opening a bank account for a bankruptcy trustee? I'm looking to see how the account and checks should be titled, what documents we should require prior to opening the account, etc.

This is a case where our business customer filed for bankruptcy, opened a debtor in possession account, apparently didn't adhere instructions, so court appointed a trustee.

The Trustee wants to come in, close the DIP account and open a new one as the Trustee.

First question - is your bank on the approved list to have such an account in the first place?
