If the tri-merge bureau results in credit scores of "0" for all three bureaus and Experian is listed as the lowest.... how do you report this for HMDA:

Credit Score for decision making:?

Credit score model:?

Since all 3 are "0", I don't know how Experian is lower than the others. Pick one model and then report "8888" (meaning no score).

Question for you: Does it really say "0" for the score or does it have a code for "no score" or "not enough info for a score". My knowledge is there is never a "0". The range of scores never dips below 300.

David, It really says current score "0" for each of the bureaus with Equifax has High, Transunion Middle and Experian as Low. At the bottom is says potential score "0" for all 3 bureaus. I have never seen this before and thought as you did..."no score" but it says "0". I do not know how one can be lower than the other...zero is zero.

Intersting. Thanks for the additional info. I would report "8888".

FWIW to anyone who uses QuestSoft...QuestSoft will not allow a model to report when the credit score is 8888. I have an applicant that shows "0" as well for a FICO on the credit report...QuestSoft is requiring us to report Code-9 for the credit provider rather than the model my FI used.
