Hey Everyone,

What are your favorite Netflix (or other streaming service) shows to binge watch, and why?

I binge watched Breaking Bad, A Series of Unfortunate Events, Black Mirror, and Game of Thrones to name a few. I am looking for recommendations.

Sons of Anarchy

I had no interesting when it was originally on, yet once I started watching on Netflix, I was hooked.
I have 5 episodes to go, but I am holding back because I don't want to see the last of the characters. I love so many of them! laugh

I have seen zero episodes of Breaking Bad, ever. Am i really missing out? The premise of that show (at least what i've heard) sounds very ..........uninteresting to me. But hey, i've been wrong before.

all of the Marvel shows are great (Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Punisher, Defenders) They all tie together real well and are very entertaining. I also really enjoyed Altered Carbon (don't watch it with kids around, hard "MA")

Dirty Money was fantastic. Especially the episode about money laundering and HSBC. https://www.marketwatch.com/story/netfli...ndal-2018-02-21

I was the same way, never watched it while it was actually on TV. I started watching it on Netflix and was absolutely hooked. My all time favorite series ever. The story, the characters, the cinematography are all outstanding. My adult daughter and her boyfriend also got hooked on it. Give it a try for at least one season, I'd be willing to bet you'll like it.

My daughter / husband binge watched Stranger Things over Christmas break.

I like Great British Bakeoff - Netflix has episodes I haven't found elsewhere including YouTube, Amazon Prime and iTunes (the elusive episodes contain "scandal"!) The Great Zumbo is good too, although there's only one season.

My kids are also going through Supernatural.

We really enjoyed Stranger Things. Very creative show, and the kids were very good actors. We liked Ozark, too. I can get Netflix on the treadmill at the YMCA, and was a little embarrassed watching the episode of Ozark that had a naked pregnant stripper.

I also watched a multipart Western called Godless that was pretty good, if you like gunfights and horses and that sort of thing.

We also loved Ozark, Dexter, and now Longmire. Dexter and so far Longmire have gotten much better after the first season. Tried to watch Sons of Anarchy and got through about one season but never finished it.

Riverdale. Especially if you were a fan of the Archie comics growing up. It's a dark take on those characters.

I'm really hooked on this show. Started out just trying to find something tolerable to watch with my 13 year old daughter and turned it on. 1.5 weeks later - we're all caught up and can't wait until the next episode on Wednesday. Even my husband likes it (and he doesn't like anything). Love the characters and going back and forth with who you like and despise...

Ozark and Stranger Things. Love them both too.

30 Rock, The Office, Parks & Recreation are my "comedy" favorites - other genres would be Peaky Blinders (how has this not been mentioned yet?), Altered Carbon, Shameless and American Horror Story

I can't believe no one has watched Black Mirror. It is a really good show. Every episode is different similar to the twilight zone. All the episodes are based around how technology can negatively impact lives.

Better Call Saul is good. It's currently on its fourth season on AMC. It's kind of a prequel to Breaking Bad.

Of course, Sons of Anarchy, Walking Dead, Stranger Things, Game of Thrones (with Amazon HBO) are solid choices as others have mentioned.

We've found another Netflix show we really like. We've watched five episodes over the last 3 nights.

It's called Happy Valley. It's about a middle aged police sergeant in a small town in West Yorkshire, UK. The visual contrast between the beautiful countryside and impoverished, drug filled town is stunning.

You learn in the opening scene that the police officer who is the central character is divorced, has two children, one dead and one who doesn't talk to her, a grandson, and she lives with her recovering heroin addict sister. That's almost a direct quote from her.

The show is a bit violent at times, but very well written, fast paced, and well acted. You might need your closed captioning on, as their dialect and slang can be a bit hard to understand.

It came out in 2014, so maybe you've all seen it, but it's new to us.

We just finished Evil Genius. It's a four episode documentary about the people involved in the "Pizza Bomber" bank robbery in Erie, PA about 15 years ago. It may be more interesting to me because it was closer to home - my bank actually bought the building (after the robbery) where the robbery occurred and operated a branch there for several years.

Also just finished Longmire which got much better after the first season or two.

On season 3 of the original Star Trek, great sci fi cheese
Also on Prime we started watching the first season of 24. Watching with no commercials is the way to watch this series. Edge of seat goodness.
