I understand that Public Accounting Firms are excluded from the BO rules. What I am not sure of is how we can identify who is a Public Accounting Firm. Is there a way that we can look this information up? Our State Licensing website may (not entirely sure) include those that are not registered under Sarbanes Oxley.

Such firms are required to register with the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board: https://pcaobus.org/Registration/Firms/pages/registeredfirms.aspx
