I have a borrower on the application it indicates refinance and for the purpose the funds are being used to reimburse his father who paid for the house in cash no other loans on the home. I'm not sure how to report this loan, should we be reporting this a (4) other purpose ? Or should we be reporting this loan on HMDA since it is technically owned free and clear.

All dwelling secured consumer purpose closed-end loans are reportable unless your FI is exempt.

This loan would be reported as Other.
