Some of my sources say that the availability schedule for Reg CC is changing on July 1, 2018. Can anyone confirm this? from $200 to $225, and from $5,000 to $7,500??

thanks,

Duke

You must have better sources than the rest of us.

Any such changes would have to come from the CFPB and hav been published in the federal register.

I have it on good authority that the Bureau and the Fed are trying to have a proposal out by the end of this month (good luck) that is likely to include some form of inflation adjustment for the dollar amounts in the EFT Act, as required by the amendments to the EFTA made by the Dodd-Frank Act. They were supposed to have been effective at the end of 2017, and adjusted every five years thereafter. But that didn't get done. Yet.

If and when they float the proposal, you can be assured it will be noted in our Top Stories and Compliance Briefing.
