I hope this is posted in the right section. I've got a situation that I'm not completely comfortable with and I think a very elder customer may be being taken advantage of by his niece. I'm wondering if I should file a report with the office of aging as well as a SAR. I'm new in this role (of security), have a BSA background and having a hard time finding state law to tell me if I'm required by the state to do so.

Any help is much appreciated.

If you think it is happening you should report elder abuse.

I completely agree. I guess I'm more lost on how to figure out with which agency I need to file the report.

Try this

https://ncea.acl.gov/resources/state.html

In Michigan we have a hotline. This website has links per state.

Check your state's department on elder care/services.
