One of our customers, an Attorney, has a new LLC i.e. "The New Age Interchange Group, LLC" (not the real name). The attorney is the Manager of the LLC , there are no other members. The Attorney has an EIN for his practice, i.e. (John W. Smith, Esq.).

He wants to use this EIN of his practice for this LLC. I'm not aware of anything that says he can do that? If anyone can lend some guidance here it's greatly appreciated.

Nope, not unless his EIN is also his SSN. You can use your SSN for the "EIN" if it is a sole member LLC.

That's what I thought. This Attorney actually came back later in the day and stated he was incorrect. A first.

I would call that a recommendation for the attorney's services.
