We have a borrower with a Fannie loan that approached us asking if his loan could be modified to remove his wife (or rather, soon to be ex-wife). Credit was pulled and we weren't able to approve his modification request. He wasn't asking for new credit so the loan officer didn't take a new written application but do we owe him an adverse action notice?
