Starting this year, we have started getting requests from this company wanting bank statements and check copies of our customers to help them get signed up for Medicaid as they go into the nursing home. They do have a customer authorization signed, but I was wondering about charging fees. This appears to be a "for profit" business and not a government entity. When we mentioned fees, we got the typical "your competitors are not charging us a fee" response. I just wanted to see what others may be doing. They are only operating in about 10 states.

If you have fees for this in the TISA disclosure, regardless of whether the customer or an agent requests the information - you are more than free to charge - they charge their customer a healthy fee for their "consultation".
