Can a bank advertise to donate to a charity in customer's name when they open a new CD?

Sure- sort of an operational nightmare though. Plus, what if the charity is not something the bank wants their name associated with???

Just wondering - if you donate in the customer's name, is that an interest payment to the customer?

What if you have pre-selected a few agencies - Habitat for Humanity, Humane Society, Meals on Wheels - and then let them choose one?
