We received an Information Subpoena with restraining Notice from an attorney in New York. We have never received one of these before. It appears to be a combination of a Garnishment and Subpoena. The 2 exemptions notices are part of the documents we received. Do I need to accept this in the State of Minnesota? We do not accept any out of state garnishments until the judgement has been filed in Minnesota. I think they are phishing for information but appears they did get a judgment in New York. Do we need to respond to the document is my question? If yes what rules do we go by for holding and disbursing funds?
