out of the frying pan...
I'm looking at a loan that is secured by a house, 2 lots, and 3 manufactured home. One of the MHs is dated 1969. Since that one is older than HMDA recognizes as a dwelling, I'm not sure whether to include it in the "number of units" reported. I'm OK with leaving it in the property value and CLTV since those can include non-residential collateral, but the # of units is throwing me off. I don't know if I've got 3 or 4. crazy

I vote 3 units.....i wouldn't count as a unit something the regulation says isn't a dwelling. ETA: or what David said......i got interrupted while typing.

Thanks, y'all! That's the way I was leaning but it just feels wrong when I have evidence that the '69 is occupied and generating rental income.
