We have written application that was mailed to the loan officer. On the application, the borrower wrote $65,000. One day later the borrower requested the amount be increased to $67,500 and change the term from 10 yrs. to 15 yrs. So the LE was then created with the higher amount and term. The loan was later declined. We have documentation that the borrower requested the increase.
Do we report what was reflected on the LE or the amount on the original application?
