We are a community bank located in Indiana. However, we are only a couple miles from the Illinois state line and have many customers who live in Illinois. It was recently brought to my attention by an outside review firm that we may need to offer any Illinois customers the option to opt out of receiving any type of advertising mailer. She stated I should check on it because she wasn't for sure if we needed to do it since all of our branches were in Indiana or if it would apply since those customers actually lived in Illinois. I hope I am making sense! Can anyone provide me with advertising rules from the state of Illinois in regards to mailers? Do we need to offer an opt out to these customers?
Thanks so much!
