Need some thoughts on interpreting this edit.

AUS System is LP (Code 2) & AUS Result is Eligible/Accept (Purchase Eligibility is Eligible and Risk Class is Accept). There is no Eligible/Accept so my interpretation would be to report Code 2 - LP for AUS System and Code - 16 Other for AUS Result and then in the free form text type Eligible/Accept. Getting a Q644 so perhaps that is incorrect but not understanding how to interpret the edit below. How are others reporting this?

Any thoughts? My topics must not be intriguing because I look down at the first page of this forum and those are the items with 0 replies.

You only report 8

I am looking at the HMDA GIR and it says - Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (Freddie Mac) - Use code 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, or 16. I noticed your list did not have 16.

I thought about reporting code 8 - Accept for Eligible/Accept but it just doesn't seem right especially when you consider how it is done for DU (e.g., Approve/Eligible, etc.). If 16 is a choice for LP I still don't see why you would get a Q644 edit. What am I overlooking?

b. Use Code 8, 9, 10, 11, or 12 for the AUS result returned by the AUS of the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (Freddie Mac).

The Filing Instruction Guide does not include Code 16 as a choice.

I don't know why I thought I could rely on the HMDA GIR Guide (sarcasm). So that document is just wrong but the filing guide would then leave us with no other choice but 8. Thanks!
