Big Sky Country
Hi all,

I live 90 miles north of YNP, and can definitely tell you NOT to visit in late June through August. The people.... oh the people. Late May or September are the way to go. Count on cool weather either way. As for either Glacier National Park, or the Beartooth Pass, count on snow any time you visit.

Last Saturday my family went hiking near Big Sky and enjoyed beautiful weather (upper 60s/low 70s). On Monday the same trail had 6 inches. That's Montana! smile

Compared to the back country trips I have been on, this would be pure luxury. One of our lenders commented the other day that she thinks having to stay in a hotel is camping. Bless her heart. People are so soft these days. whistle

Pulling people out of the ditc...
last time we camped in tents she was 5 months pregnant, temps dropped to 20 degrees, and then it rained...so she has a bad memory of what camping is like...i keep trying to explain that an RV is like a house on wheels, but she isn't buying it yet...

OOOOOOklahoma
2 years ago, we tent camped over Labor Day weekend. It was insanely hot and by Sunday afternoon everyone was grumpy and tired. We bought a camper a few months later and absolutely love it. We can do all the outdoor hiking, fishing, swimming and boating but still sleep comfortably. It's the best of both worlds.

I took my 4 MONTH old on a 10 day backpacking trip. She was essentially my pack.....with various other items strapped on. We packed in tiny bottles of formula and I sterilized the bottle [censored] in a little pan of boiling water over a single burner backpacking stove. We had a great time.

Nope. So far I've done fine by just spraying the bottom and myself, if needed.

DVR a few episodes of one of those tiny house shows. Maybe that'll convince her she could live like that for a couple weeks.
