Someone added a new signer to an existing personal account. When records looked at the license they saw that it was a Massachusetts driver's license but the address on it was Texas. We scan our licenses and it looks legit, issued in 2017. Everything I read states that to get a MA license you must provide proof of residency, I can't figure out how they have an out of state address on the license. Has anyone else see this before? The primary customer does live in Texas now, I'm wondering if it was a registry error?

My guess is the individual is or was in the service the last time the license was renewed. You get to keep your MA licence when on active duty, since the assumption is you will return to the Bay State when you get out.
