person who starts a pot of coffee, but does not have the common sense to put the coffee pot back in the machine so that the coffee runs all over the counter and floor!

That is a unique variation on what seems to be a common issue, Rocky...

Or leaves a teaspoon of water in the water cooler and doesn't change out the jug.

There is a special palmetto bug spray?

She ate the bug. Partially anyway. Or at least one hasn't make it all the way down the pie hole! !

Wikepedia says they spray a foul smelling spray (see below).

Or take the coffee pot out and leave the filter basket full of spent grounds dripping on the counter and floor. You have to seriously work at getting the pot out and leaving the filter basket!

I have never in my life made a pot of coffee...never. I don't drink coffee at work....ever. I don't drink coffee at home...ever. However, if i'm sitting down to breakfast (say at an IHOP or Denny's), i'll drink 5 or 6 cups (black, no sugar).

Then i may go another 6-8 months before i drink coffee again.

I drink 5-6 cups a day. I sit down at IHOP or Denny's for breakfast - never! Trust me - you will live longer.

Plus - they don't have coffee at either place - it may be black - but it ain't coffee.

Haha.....i don't sit down at IHOP or Denny's very often.

As for the coffee part....i'm definitely not a connosseuer (doubt that's spelled correctly).......gourmet coffee would probably be wasted on me.

I guess why i've never gotten into a coffee routine is this:

I don't really drink anything (except water, which i drink a lot of) unless i'm eating something. I don't drink coffee, tea, pop, lemonade......none of that, unless i'm eating something. Coffee sort of coats your tongue and the roof of your mouth and that isn't pleasant for me throughout the day (and if i'm honest, the reason it isn't pleasant for me is it conflicts with my drug of choice--the nicotine in snuff. Getting a dip after drinking coffee isn't pleasing....all you taste is coffee). I do think coffee tastes good though.

Pop? You mean soda.

Yeah, i don't call it soda...either pop or coke.

2 generations back, i used to hear "soda pop" (or "sodey pop") around here....but don't hear it anymore.

Some parts of New England, it was referred to as "tonic".

Pet Peeve: people who think the copier automatically refills itself with paper.

or the water cooler automatically replaces the empty bottle

My pet peeve is when our crazy printer decides randomly to switch the trays it wants to feed from, and out of the blue says "add paper" when there's plenty of paper in the tray that it just printed from 2 seconds ago.

We must work in the same office with the same printer.
