What are the ramifications if a MLO doesn't attest to their renewal for 2019 until after year-end? Just registered with NMLS, not licensed.

If the new license was issued between Nov 1st and Dec 31st, there is no renewal required.

These are stragglers, that just haven't gone into NMLS and attested to their renewal once HR uploaded their info.

I would be listing them on the naughty list and they are going to have to refrain from any MLO activity until their reactivation is completed.

If the renewal process is not completed prior to December 31st, the MLO is placed in an “Inactive” registration status both on NMLS and NMLS Consumer Access. Inactive registrations must be reactivated in order to have an “Active” registration status.

NMLS requires a $30 processing fee for each MLO seeking to renew or reactivate a registration. MLOs who are submitted for renewal but did not complete renewal attestation prior to December 31 need to be reactivated, incurring an additional $30 processing fee at the time of reactivation.

Somewhat similar to this thread so hoping someone can help. We paid for renewal on behalf of our MLOs during November of last year (received receipt confirmation and screen shot of payment with all MLOs listed) and one of our MLOs was unable to attest by the following month's deadline for some unknown reason.

We also received a screen shot from the MLO during his attempt on the NMLS website that said "An attestation request has not been submitted by your company." Has anyone ever experienced the same and determined if the cause was due to the website or MLO user error perhaps? Thank you in advance.
