We currently have a customer that requested his payment date be changed. It is a commercial loan and the due date is 2/15/2019 he wants it changed to 2/05/2019 other than the interest acc. will be shortened is there any reason we cannot do this? Is there a timeframe we must give in between payment dates?

On commercials loans? - no - it is purely a contractual issue.

Would this answer be different for consumer loans?

I highly doubt it. Never seen a State law that would prohibit you from adjusting a payment due date as long as the borrower signs a proper modification.
