Just got watery eyes and stuffed sinuses.. anyone got any old remedies they swear by?

Can add whiskey or rum
Can add a pinch of cayenne (anti inflammatory)

Not only drink it, but also breathe in the steam and allow

Even without the whiskey, putting your face over a steamy hot toddy helps eyes, nose, and throat feel a little better.

my best home remedy is going to the doctor...getting a steroid shot and antibiotics...isn't that why we pay ridiculous amounts for health insurance, to use it when sick?

That's some pretty solid logic and very difficult to argue against.

I have a friend who swears by slathering Vicks Vapo Rub on her feet and wearing socks at night. I've never tried it so I cannot comment on its effectiveness.

Why would anyone want a steroid shot? That stuff is horrible for you. And why would anyone want antibiotics for what was described? Doesn't sound bacterial much.

watery eyes and stuffed sinuses for me is an indication of a sinus infection...your symptoms and how you display them may be different...and i am a firm believer in medicine where it provides benefit to me, so a steroid shot and z-pack are my friend in this case...i also get an annual flu shot...i vaccinated my kids...i take vitamins...i exercise...i believe the earth is round...there are no government contrails...Elvis really is dead...there were not 2+ shooters on the grassy knoll...aliens have not traveled millions of miles to probe our tailpipes...the only benefit of essential oils is to the bank account of the person that sold them to you...
