We are looking at a vacation to Put In Bay, Ohio this summer. Curious to see if anyone has been and would like to bounce a few things off someone who has been.

Thanks for the posts and the previous thread. It sound like maybe not a good family vacation. We will look at some other places.

That depends on what you want to do and what ages your kids are. I took my full family there for a day and we enjoyed it. Put-in-Bay definitely has a party reputation but there are quite a few family things to do like a decent playground/park, a few nature preserve trails, a National monument, a fishing museum (where they provide poles for kids to fish), go carts, miniature golf, a (very) small cave, a merry-go-round, a candy shop and whatever else the hotel has (like a pool). In addition, Cedar Point is just across the bay so you could easily do a few days on the island and a few at Cedar Point, though a week at Put-in-Bay would probably be a bit long unless you were wanting to just hang by a pool (if your accommodations even had one).

Kelly's Island would also be an option as it's ferry service is about 10 miles from the one for Put In Bay. I go over to PIB several times a summer, as the ferry is 6 blocks from my house. If you have any specific questions, feel free to PM.
