Does anyone know what committees are required to have charters? I was thinking any committee of the BOD (executive, audit, compensation, loan and risk) However, if we have an internal committee for fraud, operations/IT steering committee, should these also have charters? Thank you.

I am not sure that a committee charter is an actual regulatory requirement for any committee, but they do serve a purpose in defining the committee's actual responsibility. It is more of a sound management practice.

We only have charters for the board level committees, nothing internal.

Besides the board ones, we have one for Compliance/Risk Management, IT and Products and Services Committees.
