Appears that Robert Kraft is one of over 100 men that has been implicated in a sex sting operation out of Jupiter, FL. Every single person is captured on video.Depending which news source you follow, it is everything from solicitation up to human trafficking...here is one of the more tame reports

That's the same thing we thought. Seriously, he has more than enough money that he shouldn't be going to some seedy massage parlor, sheesh man. Although, I think that seediness is part of the excitement that he was probably seeking. Sad, really.

If I was a true Pats fan, I'd feel really deflated about the entire situation. Hopefully no one will think that because he was cheating on his girlfriend, that cheating is something that the entire organization is capable of.

Seems like an embarrassment for him for sure, but i wouldn't think it ought to be the end of his role with the team...but heck, what do i know.

Lose the team for a misdemeanor charge? OK. He will probably face a fine and a suspension as Robert Irsay did when he was charged with DWI and having a suitcase full of cash and drugs.

If NFL players assault women and receive only a slap on the wrist from the NFL, I would think a misdemeanor of solicitation wouldn't be grounds for losing the franchise.

Scenario 1: It was "just" prostitution. (Slap on the wrist)

Scenario 2: Kraft and other rich and powerful men used their wealth and power to bankroll the exploitation of hundreds of victims of human trafficking. (More than a slap on the wrist)

We'll see how the public/NFL/law enforcement view it. If anyone actually cares about human trafficking there will be more coming out about this story.

His ego will likely just be a bit deflated for awhile.

Risk - I agree it is a horrible case of human trafficking, the traffickers should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law, and the case should be used to bring public awareness. I doubt however that Kraft or any other wealthy men are involved in a cabal to bring slaves to the country. More than likely it was the owner of the parlor who trafficked those women into the country.

prostitution and human trafficking are not the same, and should not be intermingled as such. there may be times when both are present, but they are not the same.

There is some indication that in this case, trafficking was involved. I think there is still a lot of untold story out there. But whether someone like Kraft would have known about it is a different question.

I have very little sympathy for the "Johns" in this situation and feel that the fact that they are "just" paying the man who trafficked these women does not completely remove them from responsibility for the crime of trafficking. I don't care if they are famous or not, participating in these acts when there is a very high probability that the victim is not doing so on their own free will is an abomination and should be treated as much more than just a misdemeanour crime.

I agree with thomasj, and will go further and say I have absolutely NO sympathy for these "Johns" in these cases because if it wasn't for their demand, the $ex trafficking wouldn't be nearly as pervasive as it is.

6 of one, half a dozen of the other.....the "johns" wouldn't be able to demand anything if the supply wasn't there.

I just think sex trafficking and prostitution are 2 totally different things....a prostitute (at least in my eyes) is in the profession by choice. A victim of sex trafficking isn't a prostitute....because she didn't get to make the choice.
