If we use email to send a text to a customer in order to reach out regarding a delinquent loan, would this be considered an autodialer per the TCPA? I know the autodialer definition is in flux. Also, are other banks obtaining consent from customers in order to contact in such situations as indicated above?

You need specific permission to send texts to a customer.

Even if it is in terms of only debt collection that a text would ever be sent?
