I've tried to institute a rule that if anything is in the fridge on Friday at 6:00pm, it goes in the trash (other than condiments and the like). I always get voted down though

ours is cleaned every friday at 5:00 PM by the cleaning staff...there is a big sign on it that anything left after 5 will be thrown away...yet people still complain that their tupperware/lunch bag/ ketchup/whatever was thrown away...

we actually had a lady that would go through it at 4:59 every friday and take the nice tupperware and insulated lunch bags since "they were going to be thrown away anyway." she no longer works here, stealing from your coworkers is frowned upon

We don't have a set schedule, but when it seems that things are getting dicey we send an email to the whole floor letting them know what day we will be cleaning it out, so that they have been warned in ample time. Small office refrigerators have started popping up in offices over the last few years and we don't have as many problems as we once did. I think about 25% of us have our own fridge now.

My pet peeve in regards to workplace refrigerators (which i don't often utilize) is if i place my sandwich or whatever on a certain shelf.....and later when i go to retrieve it, it has been moved to a different shelf. Um....i placed my item here before you did....work around me...not the other way around.

I hate after work required team building get-togethers.

how about those people who start every sentence with "hey..." or "so...", and when replying always start with "my thing is..."

AND THE ALL CAP TYPISTS

or the ones who use a colored background in emails so you can barely read the email

or the cursive fonts that are virtually unreadable

the ones who go in to the break room to use their cell phone because they want "privacy" and stare at you for having the nerve to walk into the break room

but the worst is the one who drinks nearly all the coffee but leaves enough to fill about 1/8th a cup of coffee and doesn't make a new pot...that person should be drawn and quartered

Or the one Senior officer that got in early and decided to make a pot of coffee. The talented person did everything right, except PUT THE COFFEE POT UNDER THE SPOUT. Next person in was sopping coffee from the counter, floor, etc.

Um.... this is just one step away from "Get off my lawn"

Pet peeve: people who type 4 ???? at the end of a question. Some people think ALL CAPS = yelling. I think ???? = "are you stupid?"

Co-workers who IM or Skype you constantly. So disruptive.
