We are a large bank and have a loan we want to qualify but it's for a business with GAR over $1 million. It's for a hotel in a low tract and TIF district and will create LMI permanent jobs. It's the GAR over $1 million that is tripping me up. I've qualified something similar at another bank but does this get thrown out because it won't meet the size test, even though it meets the purpose? Am I mixing up my definitions here? Thanks for any help.

To meet the "size" test you can also use the SBA Size Standards table. If it meets the SBA size test, it meets the CRA size test for community development loans. My guess is it will qualify. I've not yet come across an entity that hasn't passed this test.

Here's a link! https://www.sba.gov/sites/default/files/files/Size_Standards_Table.pdf
