so just curious as to others' P&P -
minor child (under 18) and parent have a savings account. minor child is primary. the account is not an UTMA. the account is not set up as Minor AND Parent. Minor child 11 asks for money out of the account. Aside from the minor child acting as if they aren't sure what to do, do you honor their request?

Our account terms and conditions states this under minor accounts:

We may pay funds directly to the minor without regard to his or her minority. We have no duty to inquire about the use or purpose of any transaction.

I'd check your account terms to see what it states.

You also need to check State law. If State law does not give the minor the right to contract on deposit accounts, you are off in no-man's-land right off the get go.
