I was just wondering if anyone had been through a CRA exam where Opportunity Zone loans were presented for credit? If so, what was the outcome/discussion on the loan(s).

I don't think many banks will be claiming CRA credit for opportunity zones since it's hard to coordinate unrealized gain being turned into investments into funds. We don't even have guidance yet if these funds cause conflicts with Gramm-Leach, or Dodd-Frank for that matter like we have with an SBIC. Further, I think these funds are going to be geared towards private investors more than federally regulated banks. There is too little guidance yet for banks to feel comfortable with O-Zones in terms of CRA.
