The bank has a hold on two accounts because the owner is deceased. Today we received a notice freeze from the Texas Comptroller. How do we handle the freeze? We can not find any guidance on this issue and if anyone can point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it.

Yes, that is correct. We were notified earlier in the year, but no one has come in to take care of the accounts.

I would call the Comptroller and explain the situation, but would freeze the funds and let the executor, if one shows up, hash it out with the State.
