Looks like changes are coming to the MLA website. Could they make this any harder for lenders?!?!

May 31st, 2019 - Upcoming Changes to MLA
Around June 27, 2019, DMDC will make significant changes to the Military Lending Act (MLA) website (https://mla.dmdc.osd.mil) to enhance security of the site and better protect the personal information of Service members. All users of the site will be required to create user accounts. A user account will be required to access both the Single Record Request and the Multiple Record Request capabilities of the MLA website. No search for active service on the MLA website will be possible without a user account. In addition to the username, password, company name, and challenge questions currently required to create a user account, beginning about June 27, 2019, new MLA website users will be required to supply the user's first name, last name, address, and e-mail address in order to create their user account. Starting in August 2019 existing MLA website users will be required to update their accounts with the additional fields (user's first name, last name, address, and e-mail address). DMDC appreciates the cooperation of MLA website users as we implement improved security of the information of Service members.

Try running 27 names through the system, one at a time, and watch what the "I am not a robot" does to make it more and more difficult. It goes to more clicks, blurred photos, smaller stoplights/car/bridges/crosswalks... Don't forget to check status before you drill a safe deposit box.

One more thing - the button to create a user ID is on the upper left of the LogIn tab which is probably the obvious place, but I didn't think to look there because I have it bookmarked to the Search page. Password is 14 - 26 characters, speaking of 'can they make this harder?" and only accepts certain non-alpha/non-numerics.

Hey - the blind squirrel found a nut. If you download the user guide from the DoD MLA website, you will find.

The Point of Contact (POC) is the person, within the company, that can be contacted in order to verify usage of the application.

Do you know if we can we make a generic user name for our company or does each individual have to create their own user name and password?
