I still have a consumer variable-rate open-ended unsecured (no plastic) line of credit at my former bank. Evidently the prime to which it is tied has changed and so my rate has gone down. I received a rate change notice by mail, dated 8-14-19, stating that the rate change is effective 8-1-19.

I have looked in Reg Z and can't find anything requiring a notice at all....unless I just can't find it.....not looking in the right place. But it seems strange that the notice is dated subsequent to the rate change.

Am I missing something? It's a large bank and so surely they are doing this correctly. crazy smirk wink

We don't have any such accounts at my present bank, so I can't go see what our notices look like.
