Can some one tell me how you back up when you are in search? I was looking at a subject that had about 9/10 threads but I had to keep putting in my subject in the search field. I feel like BOL would have a way and I'm just not finding it.

If it still works like it used to, go to the bottom of the discussion and hit active threads and that should take you back.

I always click on the back arrow and then click on the refresh button. This will bring my search results back up. Seems odd, but this is how I've always made it work.

click on the "index" button below the last post, on the side. It will bring you back to the search results
