Is the NMLS # required to be on an Adverse Action Notice?

Not technically, but if the Adverse Action Notice is the first communication with the applicant, you would need to include the NMLS with the notice. For this reason, many choose to include the NMLS on the AA Notice and not worry about it any further.

Some of our first communications are phone apps. In those cases we would need the NMLS on the adverse action correct?

If the Adverse Action Notice is your first written communication to the customer, then yes, the NMLS should be included in the initial written communication.
