Are business cards required?

It is cutomary that at initial contact between the licensee and the applicant for a home loan that the NMLS unique identifier is to be communicated. However, it does not state it be communicated via business card.

Also, business cards are considered an advertisement and there fore has some additional rules for what it must show. Still if you didnt have business cards then this would be a moot point.

So...are loan officer required to have business cards?

OK
No, there is nothing in the SAFE Act that requires business cards, or NMLS numbers on business cards.

Not required, but I have never met an LO who did not have one.

Me either - and I also can't think of any additional rules. I know you don't have to put 'Member FDIC' on them.
