On a Reg E Dispute, does anyone currently hold the cardholder liable for the amounts allowed in Reg E?
Example:
Monday - Card Stolen - $75 ATM w/d
Tuesday - Consumer learns of card theft - $25 POS
Wednesday - Consumer reports theft of card to FI
*In this scenario the consumer could be liable for a max of $50. Is your FI currently netting out these amounts to be credited to your cardholder?

Please share. Thank you in advance.

Your card issuer agreement might prevent it though under Zero liability.

Thank you R Carey, I understand that. But, I was trying to find out if anyone charges the max liability to their customer (if their agreement allows).

Most of our disputes fall under Visa's $0 fraud liability. But, in the circumstances you described above, we do withhold the maximum liability allowed by the Reg.
