Previously CDs opened for public fund entities were disclosed as renewable at opening and should be nonrenewable. I was planning to send a letter to each entity and explain that CD was opened inadvertently as renewable and should be nonrenewable and state that maturity notices will be sent going forward. Would this be correct to send letter only without including a new disclosure?

No - but you should be asking your legal counsel this question regarding the best approach. You also probably want to send reminder notices just prior to maturity. It is not a compliance issue..
