During the current environment we’re working in, we’re looking into areas where we could maybe reduce the amount of documents/booklets exchanged between us and the customer. In an effort to keep long-term customers happy, we’ve continued what some would consider old-fashioned services. Simply put, while we love our customers, we’ve spoiled them by allowed them to continue banking with traditions from years gone by. I was curious to know if anyone: Still offers Christmas Clubs with coupon booklets? Still issues a CD with an actual certificate or do you simply give them a receipt for a deposit? Still writes deposits down in a deposit register for commercial and/or individual customers? Any ideas to bring our customers into the 21st century with realistic expectations would be appreciated.

Any where but work
We still issue paper CD's, don't see that going away any time soon. Many years ago we abandoned "passbook" savings; you get a quarterly statement and we offer a simple folder for customers to keep a record if they desire to; I see that dwindling too as the generations change. We do not offer Christmas Club, never have. Still give paper receipts for deposits, it's a customer feel good thing; have a few customers that request no receipts. Limited amount of commercial customers still use a ledger book to log deposit amounts, when we are out of these "books" doubt more will be provided. We need to work harder at promoting internet banking and all the convenience and information it provides, however some older customers can't handle the internet at all.
