I have knowledge of a CTR in which I have a $16,000 bond redemption and a $40 ATM withdrawal conducted by the same individual.

Every instruction that I've found says that both need to be report in "Z-Other" in Part 27. How do I do this? I can do 1 transaction and write - US Savings Bond Redemption - $16,000". But, how do I add a line for "ATM Withdrawal - $40"?

And quick aside, why is an ATM withdrawal on line z and not line a? Especially with "ATM" being a "check box" in part 24?

Thanks in advance.

An ATM withdrawal is a withdrawal. Include it on line a. I see no benefit from using line z for it.

Another Question: If the ATM withdrawal is made at the same location as a cash withdrawal or as in Wildcats example, bond redemption, do you have just one Part III Transaction Location or do you have two -- one for the ATM and one for the withdrawal/redemption?

I will have to rethink my use of the check boxes as I thought these were the methods used to note when you didn't know the transactor 🤔

The check boxes in item 24 are precisely that -- excuse boxes for not knowing the conductor of the transaction. You don't know for sure that the individual "assigned" to debit card ending in 6789 completed the transaction.
