A 401k should not be checked daily. It is a long term investment and its greatest asset is time. Short term fluctuations will happen but it is long term performance that matters the most. I look at my 401k quarterly at most. I was a financial adviser in a prior life and told (tell) people that if their 401k investments give them short term heartburn/anxiety then they are not invested correctly.

In the last 30 hours I have received 4 voicemail messages on my cell phone (from 4 different numbers) telling me that I have 'numerous suspicious activities on my social number'. It's also an automated voice message. Really?

A while back I got a call from someone claiming to be from DirecTV (which I have) telling me they could lower my monthly bill for the next 2 years. All I had to do is pre-pay the first 4 months with an ebay gift card. They even conveniently told me some places I could go to buy a gift card. The sad thing is that there are people who fall for these scams.

I just received the social security scam call Skittles received numerous times last week. The number that showed up on Caller ID is in the Dallas area.
