HMDA help please...

Loan purpose, to payoff real estate contract for land adjacent to borrower's acreage. Land contains a "camp house" that is taxed as a dwelling and some camp site pads. Secured by borrower's primary residence. The lender did this as a commercial loan. I'm stuck between whether this is business purpose home equity exemption (even though I feel this maybe shouldn't have been done as a commercial deal since the borrower was purchasing land next to him for personal use it seems) or a purchase for HMDA since this "camp house" is technically taxed as a dwelling.

I'm in the weeds...can anyone lead me out?

OK
How is the "camp house" actually used by the borrower? If for consumer purpose (and it sounds like it from your post) and used by the borrower as a dwelling, it sounds reportable. But we need more info.
