We are looking to start originating and servicing Canadian auto loans. Does anyone have any good sources, materials, links, etc to give a good overview of their regulatory landscape?

Thanks!

Wow - now that is a specialty niche market if I ever heard one. I too would love to here about it. The currency risk alone considering the relatively low yields available probably scare most US Banks off from doing that.

Yeah it's crazy.. It's something that is being "forced" upon us. It's an existing process, just wanting to start to figure out CA laws..

Well, if management does not have qualified Canadian legal counsel on board- good luck. Their banking laws and repossession laws are totally different than what we are used to
