In our current environment, "traditional" deposit operations functions are handled my multiple departments. My bank is considering creating a Deposit Operations department to consolidate these functions into one area to increase control as well as efficiency. The question I have is this. What job functions are handled by your Deposit Operations Department and what functions are handled by your Branch Operations Department? Thank you in advance for your input.

Deposit Ops varied from my different banks but they generally were in charge of fund transfers, ACH, cash shipments, and other similar functions.
