Would a detached laundrymat qualify for the exemption to a 6-plex building. Its separate and located the same flood zone as the
6-plex. The problem is determining if it meets the "personal, family, household..."

Thanks.

These are pay machines. I'm concerned as the borrower is a director and am concerned about requiring flood insurance on the detached
structure when it may be exempt. I've read the threads, but feel the best practice is to always protect the members from any potential criticism
from a regulatory body.

Thanks.

I don't but a quarter in the machine in my laundry room - hard to make a case it being for household purposes.

Stumbled upon this thread. I have a substantially similar scenario where there is a laundry facility on-site in a flood zone. Where the multi-family units are included in the definition of residential structure, the laundry facility is certainly for profit and I'm thinking it would not qualify for the detached exemption.

Do BOLers agree?

Would you exempt a laundromat located in a SFHA? The facility may be located on a multifamily property but the facility is a commercial laundromat.

Thanks for confirming my original thought, Dan. I see another post identical to this yesterday. I wonder if it is someone in my bank. laugh

Can it possibly be true that one hand doesn't know what the other is doing?
