We are wanting to place a post on Facebook advertising our instant issue debit cards. Basically it will be a graphic that says something to the effect of "Need a new debit card? Visit one of our branches to get a new debit card in minutes". We have included the Member FDIC logo and will also include a link to our website page that discusses our debit cards. Am I missing anything? Any other type of disclosure that should be added? I had a thought that maybe we needed to make a statement that an active checking account is needed to receive a debit card - but then thought I might be overthinking this.

Thoughts?

A debit card is a convenience service. There are no triggering terms in Reg DD relating to debit cards.

Thank you Brian! That's exactly what I thought but still questioned myself.

I appreciate it.

If a VISA-branded gift card is advertised on the bank's social media page and it includes the name of the bank in the ad, does that trigger the "Member FDIC" statement?
