I'm not sure if this is the correct place to ask this but, Debit Cards: Is there ever an instance you would issue more than one debit card to a consumer account holder? ie Bob Barker has two debit cards in his name for account 654321. This is a subject brought up today. Why or why not? Thanks!

It is really a business decision as to how many active cards you want to give to one person.

They are likely asking for an additional one for a separate person that isn't on the account. Hello, CIP and risk screening.

We do not. Why would a customer need more than one is our reason.

Oh, I always want a spare debit card so I don't have to call the bank and report it lost since I can use the spare. Of course, when I do finally call the bank there will likely be thousands of dollars of fraud that you get to reimburse me for.

Not something I would offer, either.
