Our marketing area wants to send out an email blast to host a bank event with a guest speaker who will discuss investment opportunities.

The question I have is that the email flyer states "Bank Name - Member FDIC"

Is this acceptable or could it be perceived that these investments are FDIC Insured?

It appears that you are advertising NDIPs and a FDIC statement should not appear and should be replaced with the not-not-not language.
