Is there any requirement that we remove the inquiry within 45 days if we did not originate the loan? We have a complaint concerning an indirect loan application and complainant states we are required to remove. I don't believe that is correct, but concerned I may have missed something designed to provide consumer relief. Thanks!

Typically, the credit reporting agency will remove them after 24 months. You are not required to do anything. The dealer should have fully informed the applicant, prior to forwarding the application to you, that they were specifically forwarding the application to you and any other creditors.
