What is necessary if the bank wants to change branch hours to be open more hours?

Do not lock the doors so early or unlock them earlier?

Not that I am aware off. Office hours are usually just left up to the board of directors. A very few States have notification requirements for fewer hours and the Federal regulators only care if you are closing branches.

Check your CRA public file to ensure any mention of branch hours is updated. Determine whether there will be any change in the close of business for the day and update any affected Reg CC disclosures if necessary. If, when DST ends, branches that closed last year before sunset will now remain open until after sunset and make sure outdoor lighting is adequate for customer (and employee) safety.

First I hear of a bank looking to expand lobby open hours in a very long time versus reducing them due to all the electronic ways to conduct banking these days.

Originally, they shortened the hours last year and are going back to what the hours were before.
